We are not naive enough at Celts Are Here to believe everything we read in the papers. And we know you’re not either.

That being said, this transfer window has had nothing but talk of Celtic players linked with moves away from the club and very little chatter of new signings.

Speculation is par for the course in our game, and it can be fun to debate potential targets and exits for fans – while others absolutely hate this time of year.

Brendan Rodgers spoke of a revolving door in January but so far Celtic have signed Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan. No player has officially been sold but if half the rumours are true, it could be a massive clear out with Celtic raking in cash but leaving a depleted squad.

Lets for a moment live in a world where what the media print is actually the truth. Shudder.

The list of players and clubs they are linked with grows each day. Let’s get Moussa out of the way first, Moussa has been linked with every club in football that can afford to spend 20+ million.

Jose is supposed to go all out for Keiran Tierney after a failed attempt to get Danny Rose from Spurs. The KT fee is said to be over twenty million too (Well if Danny Rose is worth 50 million……)

Stuart Armstrong is allegedly worth ten million pounds. Southampton are ready to go back to their Celtic honey hole for some more gems with Armstrong taking their fancy this time.

Leigh Griffiths was linked with WBA and Brighton and for fees in excess of ten million.

The only official confirmation of a player leaving has been from Erik Sviatchenko. The Dane said he has been told by the Celtic to find a new club. He apparently is not short of offers either. Speculation on his price fee ranges from £1.5m to £3m.

Jozo is worth £7-8 million pounds according to English tabloids with Crystal Palace keen on the 23-year-old.

It’s hard to think back to any transfer window were so many players are being touted for the exit door. It’s the price you pay for having a successful team.

If all the rumours were true and all the players left Celtic Park at the lowest price, we mentioned above Celtic Football club would net close to 70 million pounds. Celtic have already raked in just under £10 million for VVD. That’s 80 Million Pounds. That’s a lot of nonsense.

But like our opening line said, we don’t believe everything we read.
