Jozo Simunovic has sent a message to his followers and the Celtic support that he will be back after he recovers from his latest surgery.

The injury stricken defender has gone in for knee surgery to hopefully cure what has been keeping him out of the team for the past three weeks.

After seeing a specialists they believed this was the best course of action and the quickest way to get Jozo back playing again.

We reported earlier the loose timeline for his return and he could be back by November all things going well.

Jozo has played a big part in Neil Lennon’s Celtic side up until now and the Irishman will be gutted to lose one of his first team stars. However, if this can put an end to Jozo’s recurring problems then it will be a blessing.

Christopher Jullien and Kristofer Ajer are likely to be the Celtic manager’s central defensive pairing for the time being.
