Celtic fans are still on a massive high from last night, just for one moment imagine how it feels to be Christopher Jullien or Fraser Forster today. Jullien has shared some social posts on his Instagram and big Fraser has been speaking with the clubs official website.

“It’s nice it went my way,” said Forster. “There have been plenty of games were those could have gone in. It was nice to make the save and contribute to what was a fantastic team performance.

“He caught it so sweet and it was purely a reaction save. I’m buzzing that I made that. It would have been heart-breaking to concede it after we scored late on to make it 2-1. It’s nice to do my bit for the team, and everyone’s done a fantastic job in front of me.”

Some fans and match commentators questioned the English stopper at halftime, some people felt he should have got a hand to Lazio’s only goal of the game. The shot was a thunderbolt and it was hard to call but the two saves Forster made in the second half looked much harder to save. The loanee keeper has always come across as quite a humble guy and he made sure the adulation was shared with his teammates.

“That’s what I came back to Celtic for, to play in these games,” said the 31-year-old. “To have those moments again is what I’ve really missed. I can’t describe the feeling. It’s that feeling that I’ve missed and that’s ultimately why I came back.”

Now a lot of Celtic fans are calling for the club to bring the Southhampton player back to Celtic Park on a permanent basis. Celtic are absolutely blessed with three top keepers currently at the club.
