CELTIC loan signing Scott Bain has reiterated he wants to sign for Celtic on a permanent basis this summer once his Dundee contract expires.

Scott has played a few games for Celtic so far but was on the bench for Celtic’s semi final tie against The Rangers at the weekend – leading some to believe his Celtic future was in doubt.

When Bain has been in goals his performances have been good, especially shining at Ibrox last month.

However, the Celtic keeper has unequivocally told the fans where he wants his long term future to be.

“I’ve had a chat with the manager and told him I want to stay at Celtic. He’s keen for me to be here and I’m hopeful that I will be at this great club for years to come.

“It’s all sinking in now that I am a Celtic player. I’m loving it and enjoying myself every day.

“Football is all about moments and timing. Earlier in the season, I could never have expected this.

“It’s mad how it has worked out, but that’s football. Craig Gordon got injured and I was the lucky one who got the call to come here — and got this opportunity.”

  1. Pleased to here it , Scott has been very unfortunate that his wee run as number 1 has been interrupted by Craig Gordon proving his fitness again and regaining his position, but hopefully we sign Scott up and his chance will come again, def a better back up goalie than De Vries
