Recruitment has been a real focus as to explanations around why Ange Postecoglou has done such a good job since arriving at Celtic last summer.

He cast the net far and wide to bring in players that instantly settled at the club but also massively improved the assets within the squad.

There is still plenty more to come from this current group of players with the manager having a firm ambition that he wants to make sure that a club of Celtic’s stature is competing regularly in the Champions League.

That task has become increasingly difficult in recent years, but having a young squad with plenty of longevity proves that it can be done.

Stats were also published around players of a certain age being given game time with Celtic having the lowest percentage of minutes played by over 30s at 11.8%.

These numbers are a good indication of where Celtic’s team is at just now with players only likely to improve further it supports the player trading model which the club uses.
