JOHN SOUTTAR scored for Scotland at Hampden Park on Monday evening, completing his comeback from serious injury and propelling his season to even greater heights.

The defender has had a torrid time in football and to get a goal at home for Scotland in a full house at Hampden would’ve been some buzz for the Hearts player.

From a career point off view, scoring in front of the Sky cameras for his country won’t do his prospects any harm. John is about to enter the final six months of his Tynecastle deal and will be free to sign a pre-contract with any club in January.

With that in mind, there’s an opportunity for Celtic to sign the Scotland international on a FREE. Some Celtic fans have been asking the question before tonight, but the goal at Hampden has got people talking again.

Souttar has also been linked with a move to the other side of Glasgow. Given his talents and the fact he’s on a free, is he worth a punt?
