JOHN SOUTTAR scored for Scotland at Hampden Park on Monday evening, completing his comeback from serious injury and propelling his season to even greater heights.
The defender has had a torrid time in football and to get a goal at home for Scotland in a full house at Hampden would’ve been some buzz for the Hearts player.
From a career point off view, scoring in front of the Sky cameras for his country won’t do his prospects any harm. John is about to enter the final six months of his Tynecastle deal and will be free to sign a pre-contract with any club in January.
With that in mind, there’s an opportunity for Celtic to sign the Scotland international on a FREE. Some Celtic fans have been asking the question before tonight, but the goal at Hampden has got people talking again.
I would take John Souttar in a heartbeat for Celtic.

I’d love Souttar at Celtic – since the first game of the season against Celtic he’s been magic

Souttar has also been linked with a move to the other side of Glasgow. Given his talents and the fact he’s on a free, is he worth a punt?
Souttar would be a good addition, and potential starter in Celtic XI.
Usual knee jerk reaction from some supporters
Soapy is worth a punt, if he can remain injury free.
Now let us not mess around here if we want John Souttar then let us put some good money down so hearts take it and sell him let start with £1 million bid and go to £2 million if needed that will blow those who want him away..
