After FOUR penalties were handed out to a certain Ibrox club on Saturday there was a lot of talk going into the game against St Johnstone about the standard of refereeing again.  And you have to give them credit for being able to be consistently bad at their jobs!

Three times in the game Celtic should have had a penalty and three times it was dismissed. Oli burke was through on goal when he was brought down in the area, Willie Collum claiming the St Johnstone defender got the ball (he did not).

Then there was the incident below which is highlighted by someone on social media. Not one but two penalty incidents within a matter of seconds were waved off by the referee and his officials.

Ryan Christie takes a boot to the stomach while Odsonne Edouard eventually gets stretchered off for this challenge on him straight after the Christie incident.

Neither challenge warranted a penalty according to Collum. Particularly galling when the day before there had been four penalties given to one side with very little reason to give them in the first place.

The game with four pens in it was one more pen off a world record,,,,but lets face it what this and other BAD Scottish ref decisions are doing is bring in more eyes from the football world, our refs are now being watched world wide by millions and i would think it has now become to the attention of UEFA and FIFA they must be watching the standard of Scottish refs.
