Since returning from the international break, Ange Postecoglou’s squad has been struck down with injuries to several key players.

One player who many fans have cited as being a huge miss alongside captain Callum McGregor is frontman Kyogo Furuhashi.

After picking up a knock in Japan’s international fixture with China, the 26-year old was ruled out of action for around a month, meaning he would miss some key games in September.

Fans appear to have been given a boost, though, with some eagle-eyed supporters noticing a key detail in the background of one of the training ground photos released by the club this afternoon.

Kyogo can be spotted, not involved in the main session, but back on grass running at Lennoxtown.

This looks like a good sign to many that the Japanese international, who has taken the league by storm since joining in the summer transfer window, is nearing his return.

Of course, the next step is still to make a return to full training. But fingers crossed that isn’t too far away, which will provide a massive boost for Ange Postecoglou going into the busy winter months.
