Celtic striker Vakoun Bayo has not had a chance to properly introduce himself to the Celtic support. The frontman who was brought in under the recommendation of Kolo Toure has either been lacking match fitness or injured his whole Celtic career to date which spans five months.

Bayo made an appearance and got a goal against Pinkafield on the club’s tour of Austria and Switzerland. However, he missed the final game of the tour because of an injury scare.

The player had an issue with his hamstring and without being able to get a fiull read on the situation from their base abroad, Neil Lennon did the right thing and left Bayo out the side for the game against St Gallen’s.

Now back in Glasgow, the injury news has become clearer and while it looks like Bayo won’t be available for the Sarajevo game on Tuesday next week. According to SunSport, the player will be back in action and training within ten days.

Bayo will need to stay injury free for a prolonged period of time after this or he could see his Celtic chance pass him by.
