BRENDAN RODGERS has delivered a major update on both Craig Gordon and Leigh Griffiths after both went off injured during Celtic’s victory over Hibs at the weekend.

Leigh went off with a calf injury not long after scoring the winning goal while Craig Gordon was substituted at half time after colliding with Efe Ambrose seconds before the half time whistle.

Brendan Rodgers feared Craig Gordon’s injury could see him have a substantial lay off and today he confirmed the goalkeeper will be out for at least 12 weeks.

This means Celtic only have one fit goalkeeper at the moment. Should Dorus de Vries come down with an injury then Celtic would be in major trouble. Celtic are working frantically behind the scenes to get another goalkeeper in before the deadline.

As for Leigh Griffiths, he won’t be out for as long as Craig Gordon but the Scot still faces a one-month lay off with his latest setback.
