Brendan Rodgers has given fans a brief update on both Leigh Griffiths and Craig Gordon after both came off injured in Celtics win against Hibs.
“The feeling is with Craig is that he’s taken a nasty whack on his knee. That’s not good news there. Griff is frustrated, I think it was his calf. It certainly looks like they’ll miss Tuesday night’s game.“
Brendan believes Craig Gordon will be out for a long period of time with the Goalkeeper having to get a scan. First thoughts are that the goalkeeper has damaged his cruciate ligaments.
Brendan Rodgers also admitted he may have to go sign a goalkeeper before the window closes after loaning our Conor Hazard to Falkirk this week.

De Vries is an excellent goalkeeper. I have no worries about him.
It does seem as if panic management is setting in, however.
Shame about Gordon’s injury…irony is he seldom comes for cross balls in that way. Saw De Vries and his distribution today….night and day compared to CG. Its almost as if Gordon is scared of Rodgers for going long, the attack on the final whistle summed it up for me- long ball from the goalie and we were nearly in.
Big plus to see Jozo back and firing into tackles again. Passing was a bit awry but he is a stopper…not a silky midfielder. ??⚽️
