Xherdan Shaqiri is convinced that Inter will dump Celtic out of the Europa League on Thursday night after seeing his team throw an early two goal lead away against the Scottish side in the first leg.
Shaqiri said Inter Milan underestimated the Celtic team and there would be no repeats in the second leg. Sighting that Celtic are just not up to their standards.
“We do have respect for Celtic but I still believe what I believed before the first game – and that is that we are technically far superior.
“Playing in front of our fans, they will demand we don’t have lapses in concentration and I still fully expect us to progress to the next round.”
Shaqiri obviously forgetting the mistakes Celtic made in the lead up to their goals. With on form goalkeeper Craig Gordon having his worst night in a Celtic jersey. It is all to play for in the second leg. No one is denying Celtic are still underdogs in this story, they have to be after you see the vast amount of money Inter have spent on their team in comparison to Celtic.
