AUSTRALIA boss Graham Arnold has weighed into Daniel Arzani’s future by suggesting the player’s rehabilitation would be best overseen by Celtic.

There’s a chance Man City could take him down south and rehab the 19-year-old at the Etihad but considering Arzani is on a two-year loan deal, Arnold has ‘great confidence’ in Celtic to manage the midfielder properly.

“We have great confidence in the staff at Celtic FC to manage Daniel’s injury appropriately.

“FFA’s performance team will continue to liaise closely with Celtic and Daniel to provide Daniel with whatever assistance he requires.”

Arzani is likely to miss out on international duty for the foreseeable future, given the former Melbourne man is one of the Socceroos rising stars, close attention will be paid to his rehabilitation.

It’s very unfortunate this happened 22 minutes into his first team debut where the youngster looked lively and desperate to make an impact.

Brendan Rodgers has said they need to wait on a scan early next week before a plan is properly put in place for Daniel.
