JEANDO FUCHS played against Celtic on Sunday afternoon but he’s claimed the Hoops have been in touch with his representatives over a deal to take him to Celtic.

The 24-year-old is coming into the final six months of his Dundee Utd deal and his weighing up his options.

Fuchs didn’t have his best game for the Arabs against Celtic this weekend and might have  scouts at Celtic doubting his potential to step up if there is interest.

Speaking to Foot Mercato. Fuchs said: “I am at the end of my contract in May.

“I’m waiting to see something concrete and see if I have a choice to make at that time. I am not in a hurry.

“We are well place, we are having a good season. I don’t want to jump into another quagmire and regret again afterwards.

“There has been contact with Blackpool, Peterborough and Wigan. Stuttgart have taken information since the summer.

“There has been from Celtic and Rangers as well, but nothing more. A Premier League club as well. England would be good.”

It can’t be underestimated how much Celtic’s name gets used by agents to get their player’s name out there.

Celtic are contacted by countless agents pushing their players, sometimes the bhoys will take a look and other times they quickly pass. Agents use that interaction to push Celtic are interested.

We have no inside track on what the club are thinking about this particular deal, the Celtic fans are putting their trust in Ange Postecoglou in the January transfer window.

We are a work in progress, could the Cameroon international be a squad player?
