Neil Lennon was looking at the positives of tonight’s game where the bhoys blew a two goal lead and suffered from the same calamitous defending which has dogged us this term.

Two goals in the first fifteen minutes put Celtic 2-0 up. However, you would be hard pressed to find a supporter who thought Celtic would see it out at that point.

What happened next was expected and utterly depressing. Ryan Christie making a lunge for no reason to concede a free kick and Barkas decided to shift the wrong way for the set pieces, 2-1 and there was no going back. Milan equalised within two minutes and there was only really one winner after that point.

Celtic’s abysmal defence has conceded 17 goals in five Europa games and while we accept there are positives in an attacking sense tonight, it’s the same old story at the back and with no sign of things getting better.

  1. Watched the game and thought we were making a decent fist of it, then as the game went on, and I say this as a really hopeful we’re gonna pull through this kinda guy, by the final whistle…….

Well it’s hard to say, but , and it’s a big but, there’s a wee, small room, a dark, dark room echoing in my ear that we were gifted two goals.

God forgive me for saying it out loud, mibbies it’s the couple of beers talking…….mibbies I’ll regret saying it…..but…
