The breaking news coming from the Irish Fa about a new positive test has Celtic fans in edge. It’s little wonder seeing as we’ve seen two Celtic positive tests on international duty and one player self isolating after being in close contact with someone.

The Irish FA made the announcement but didn’t name the players.

It’s a fast moving story, and the Irish independent is reporting the players involved and the ones who need to isolate:

It’s understood Callum Robinson, John Egan, Alan Browne and Callum O’Dowda will be absent from the fixture as they were close contacts of the positive case.

There’s no word on who the positive case is at the moment. John Egan did play alongside Shane Duffy on Thursday night which is a cause for concern. We’ll continue to keep you up to date with the latest.

If Shane isn’t the positive case it’s time the club get the player back into Lennoxtown. Request his and the rest of the international bhoys release as soon as possible.

Celtic have a massive game on Saturday and to have anymore players out for the tie would be a disaster.
