Scott Brown officially hung up his boots at the weekend, bringing down the curtain on a glittering and trophy-laden career.

The Celtic legend left Aberdeen two thirds of the way through the season after Stephen Glass was dismissed from his role as Aberdeen boss.

Broony has a desire to go into management and believes now is the time to pursue that goal and stepping away from the football pitch is the best way to do it.

Scott put out a social media post on his instagram page over the weekend and the messages he’s received from all parts of the football world has been brilliant to see.

Celtic players past and present have all been praising the former Celtic captain. Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, Moi, Mikael Lustig, Kieran Tierney Scott Sinclair, Arthur Boruc and many more have been wishing Scott well in his retirement.

Others like John McGinn, Andy Robertson and Jamie Carragher have wished the Celtic legend well.

Scott has been eyeing management for many years now and has been doing his badges throughout the years he played with Celtic.

The former midfielder took a lot to do with the Celtic youth system when he was at Parkhead and will now look to put everything he’s learned into practice and lead his own team.

We wish Scott all the best and hope he’s a success.
