Chris Sutton used the phrase ‘Out of chances’ when it came to Scott Sinclair after the Salzburg game last week in his RecordSport column.

Is this a fair assessment of where the player is currently at?

Scott had a blistering first season, followed by an average second season and this season when the midfielder had got his chance he’s had varying levels of success.

Scott Sinclair has been Celtic’s penalty taker and a few of his goals have come from the spot over the years.

However, the stats on his average season are still impressive and not to be sniffed at.

Scott has shown how good he can be, so when he’s underperforming it’s very noticeable.

In games this season, the Englishman has shown signs of life but then seems to regress to the poor form which kept him out the team at the beginning of the season.

Should Rodgers continue to persevere with Sinclair hoping he comes good or is Chris Sutton correct in what he says? – Is Scotty out of chances?
