Newest recruit Matt O’Riley has praised Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou for his role in bringing him to Parkhead, as the midfielder spoke out for the first time since signing a four and a half year deal.

With rumours first appearing early yesterday afternoon, Celtic look to have moved quickly to secure their fifth signing of the January Transfer window.

Speaking to Celtic TV for the first time as a Hoops player, O’Riley spoke out on his delight at getting the deal over the line and was full of praise for his new manager.

It is great to hear the excitement that O’Riley has to be playing for the club and under Ange. The midfielder sounds like he will settle right into life as a Celtic player.

O’Riley might not have to wait long for his debut, with the possibility that the 21-year old will be available for selection on Saturday when the Hoops take on Alloa in the Scottish Cup.
