Boli Mbombo has been confirmed as a Celtic player this evening and becomes Neil Lennon’s third signing of the summer. That’s two defenders and a midfielder through the door at Celtic Park before the first Champions League qualifier which is a welcome change.
Boli, 24, is a left back by trade and will now look to displace Kieran Tierney if the Celtic star sticks around this summer. If not he would replace Kieran in the team.
Tierney is still recovering from a double hernia operation and has not properly started training to get back to full fitness so Boli is likely to come in and get some game time from the off.
Speaking about his move to the club this evening, he sat down and explained how delighted he was to become a Celtic player and make the switch from Rapid Vienna.
"It feels amazing to be part of the Celtic Family. Hopefully I can help the club win more titles and trophies.” ?

Celtic still have to find a new right back before the window closes after seeing Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa both leaving at the end of last season.
