Celtic have discovered their fate for the next two rounds of the Scottish Cup after this afternoon’s draw.

The Hoops will take on either Rangers or Cove Rangers who play out their tie this evening in the fourth round of the competition, which is set to take place on the weekend of the 17th of April as a Glasgow Derby awaits.

Of course, it is still to be played out but it looks like we will be facing Glasgow rivals Rangers. As we look to defend the title of Scottish Cup winners for the 5th season in a row, this tie could be massive.

A victory in that game will set up a quarter-final tie against either St Johnstone or Clyde at home in the quarter-final round of the competition the following week, on the weekend of the 24th of April.

After such an incredibly poor season, this is our final chance to lift silverware this campaign. It may not seem like too much at the minute but it could prove as a huge boost for whoever the next permanent manager of the club is.

  1. After watching the first 45 last night against a second string third devision side, I think I’ll be writing this season off, unless Kennedy gets gone sharpish and we get an actual manager in. Great to see Jamesie back though, the only Plus of the night.
