Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn spoke post-match about his goal this afternoon against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and the impact that Celtic supporters have had on him.
Kühn has now scored in three consecutive games in what has been an incredible run of form for the German winger.
He said: (Celtic TV), “It’s not easy on this surface, it was quite difficult, but we stayed calm and took our chances when they came.
“After I missed the first big chance, I knew I had to do better, so I was really focused on getting into the box and finishing this one.
“It gives you confidence, and it’s always a nice feeling to score. Also, with those supporters, it’s amazing.
“Every time I come on the pitch and hear the song, it’s really nice. It’s a moment you dream of as a kid, and I’m really, really grateful.”
Kühn’s comments will bring every Celtic supporter as much joy as the chant ‘Super Nicolas Kühn’ gives him.
He has been sensational since pre-season and, at the time of writing, is Celtic’s Player of the Year.
The task Kühn faces is maintaining this level of consistency and constant attacking threat.
However, it is now clear that Celtic supporters have seen the real Nicolas Kühn, and last season was merely affected by a severe dental injury that left him unwell as he tried to play through a difficult physical setback.
