BRENDAN RODGERS says his team are full of confidence going into the Ibrox game on Saturday after their 4-3 win at Pittodrie.

The Celtic manager is yet to taste defeat at Ibrox and has nearly a full squad to choose from with a few notable exceptions like Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic.

Celtic’s record at Ibrox under Rodgers has been impressive, and the manager puts that down to the way his side battles back from adversity as they’ve not always had it their way.

The Bhoys last visit to Ibrox seen them go behind twice, get a man sent off but in the end still won the game 3-2 thanks to a moment of magic by Odsonne Edouard.

Celtic go into the tie as league leaders and will be hoping to create more distance between the two clubs.

Asked if he was worried about the opposition’s position in the table, Rodgers had no time for what anyone else was doing and reiterated he’s focused on Celtic.

“We arrive into this game here performing well which is important. The players are confident but we know we always have to work.” Rodgers told CelticTV.

“The team has shown in these last few years when they’re in these adverse moments, they can respond. I was so impressed the other day. We stayed focus and played right to the very end which was a great win for us.

“I’ve always been one to focus on my own team. I always respect the opposition but we create our own standard and look at our own game and that’s what’s important.”
