JOHN KENNEDY have a fierce assessment of online abuse footballers received and branded it an absolute disgrace during his pre-match press conference.
The interim Celtic boss couldn’t be clearer on the disgusting comments many of his players and many others have been subjected to on a daily basis.
Racist abuse, religious intolerance and just general disgusting behaviour from people who think they can do what they like.
?️ John Kennedy on online abuse: “It’s an absolute disgrace. We need to clamp down on it, both the racism and the hate stuff. Everyone needs to pull together in the same way."#CelticFC ?

Social media can be vile. It brings out the worse in people.
It’s reaching a point where something major has to be done to stop the onslaught of abuse from basement dwellers.
Celtic have always stood against any racial or sectarian intolerances and a large part of our fan base as well as people who have played for us have been subject to horrible abuse.
It has to be said, the abuse which comes many people’s way in the west of Scotland is either passed off as banter or tit for tat nonsense which is a problem in itself.
