We are not going to go Tony Mowbray bashing…..but. The ex-Celtic player and manager has come out with a belter after his Blackburn side drew 1-1 at Ibrox earlier.

Mowbray claimed the Rangers were the real deal under Gerrard while also admitting he has not seen them play at all apart from this friendly.

Mowbray said: “In the first half especially they had good possession of the ball. They are a very well-coached team, so for us it was the perfect game. “You can see already what Stevie has done. “He is putting together a team which has an identity I would suggest.

But then he went on to drop this clanger.

“I can say hand on heart I have never watched a moment of Rangers play this season but we played Liverpool this time last season and they play the same 4-3-3 formation.”

Bizzare. Celtic fans are used to the Scottish press lining up to tell them how good Rangers are on any given season (except the end part). To hear Mowbray fawn over them is eye-rolling, especially with his silly admission.

Celtic fans know all too well this time of the year, most media outlets are doing their best to prop up the Ibrox club and their title bid. In January of this year, most people had them winning the league – Celtic went on to win the treble treble.

  1. I tuned into the game on a live stream today. Dull as dish water. This was a step up in quality for Sevco and they were held to a draw. Didn’t see much to fear. HH

  2. I like how you present and argue all the details as well as your overall writing style.
Sometimes, there’s a scarcity of time to read lengthy bits,
but is brief and succinct, I spent only a couple of minutes to read the whole article.
It is vital since nobody has the time to read.
