On Flag Day last weekend, Celtic defeated Ross County by four goals to two. Hoops’ fans were delighted to be back inside Paradise for the first time in a few months and the atmosphere they created was top notch.

It was a sell out at the home of the Scottish champions and after the match, Ross County centre back Will Nightingale came out and praised the home supporters. The 28-year-old said (Football Scotland): “I played against Saka when he came off the bench at the Emirates. That was a similar attendance, but the atmosphere at Celtic was just another level. I’ve not experienced that to be fair.”

Nightingale is not the first player to hold Celtic Park in high regard and name it one of the foremost grounds in the UK. It cannot be denied no stadium’s atmosphere is comparable to the one at Paradise.

Nightingale was at the home of the champions on Flag Day. Although the aura is always tremendous on that certain occasion, there is no question that on derby day or a European night, the atmosphere at Celtic Park is completely unmatched. Just imagine what the Englishman would’ve said if he was there for one of those games.
