Former Celtic fullback, Emilio Izaguirre, has revealed he has spoken to the club about Honduras team mate and Houston Dynamo winger, Alberth Elis.

The Glasgow Times have spoken with Izzy, about how the goal scoring winger has been pestering him to speak to Celtic about a possible move to the club. Izaguirre also spoke on what sort of player Elis was and what he could bring to the Bhoys

“Alberth is a very good friend of mine and I spoke with him about Celtic. He’s a very good, fast player. He’s very fast and strong and he’s good in the air. He’s played a lot of football and is good on the ball.

A lot of players in Honduras would like to play for Celtic because it’s a big opportunity to play in Europe and play for trophies. Celtic is a big club, the biggest in Scotland”

Its exciting to hear that players all over the globe are interested in a move to Scotland and using our former players and contacts wouldn’t be the worst way to go about it. It shows how far the club have come, gaining such a good reputation for developing talented players.

Elis has reportedly been desperate for a move to a club in Europe, so could Celtic be the perfect move the player who 33 goals in 87 appearances for the Dynamo in the MLS?
