Jack Hendry’s fairytale has come to an end. After leaving Celtic, he excelled on loan with Oostende before sealing a big-money move to Club Brugge, but after just a season with the club, he’s looking for his next destination. [Daily Record]

The former Celtic player is not part of the plans and has been left out of matchday squads, forcing the defender to reconsider where his future lies.

Despite still having three years left on his deal, Hendry will likely exit the club this summer. He’s been told his chance is up, despite impressing in the early stages of last season and on the European stage.

No Celtic Return on the Cards

It’s almost certain that Hendry won’t end up back at Celtic; he had his chance with the club and failed to impress. Postecoglou has a strong defence with the depth we desired.

It’ll be interesting to see where Jack ends up. If he’s learned one thing in his career, it’s to never give up and keep pushing. Hopefully, he gets a move away from the club and can get back out on the pitch.

  1. “ALMOST certain he won’t end up back at Celtic” WTF. It’s a million percent certain he won’t end up at Celtic.
Jack Hendry is a Dundee player who somehow tricked people into making big moves for him. Can’t believe he plays for Scotland, but then negative Stevie is in charge.

  2. Hendry and Oostende are the big winners in all this. They’ve made a packet off a bang average player somehow getting picked up by big clubs.

  3. No harm to him, but he was never good enough for Celtic. Our recruitment team at that time left a lot to be desired. Good luck to him in his career wherever he goes.
