Celtic ran riot in Dundee, breaking their away day score line record. The bhoys racked up a 9-0 score line on the day and left Dundee Utd in tatters.

The inquest into the home side’s collapse under the heavy Celtic pressure was still going on as Sky Sports went off the air. Jack Ross had his men locked in the changing room long after the final whistle and missed his live interview slot ad a result.

Ross finally emerged from the dressing room to speak to Sky who put the interview out on their social media.

The Dundee Utd manager branded the score line ‘embarrassing’ and ‘humiliating’.

Since their 1-0 first leg result against AZ Alkmaar, the SPFL side has been in free fall.

Dundee Utd fans were walking out at half time when the Scottish Champions were only 4-0 up. The second half became more humiliating for them.

Celtic are a team who will get a few results similar to this throughout the season. The way the bhoys play lends itself to high scoring games.

The disparity in talent and budgets mean it’s always going to be a tough ask for Utd to beat Celtic but 9-0 is a result that’s just not acceptable.

Celtic are away to Ross County in the League Cup next.
