For those of you who don’t visit Twitter, Jackie McNamara’s daughter Erin gave a brief update on her father’s health over a week after the former Celtic Star collapsed near his home in York.
The treble winning Celt had to undergo an emergency operation for a bleed on the brain and is still at the very early stages of recovery.
Thank you for the continued support for my dad, the past week has been so overwhelming for us as a family.
He is making progress but still has a long road to recovery. We are so thankful for all the care he’s received and remain positive.
Erin ❤️

There has been an outpouring of emotion and well wishes since Jackie was hospitalised.
The Celtic family and the football family in general have shown their support for the Celtic icon.
Jackie is still a beloved member of the Celtic family who’s bond with the club and the support still there to this day.
The Green Brigade unfurled a banner in support of Jackie at a recent home game.
We’re still sending our best wishes to Jackie and his family as they support him back to the best health possible.
As the banner says, Keep the faith Jackie.
