The Celtic support was rocked today when they heard the dreadful news one of our own Jackie McNamara had collapsed outside his home on Saturday and was rushed to hospital.
It has transpired the former Celtic captain had a bleed on the brain and had to undergo emergency surgery.
The football world and his former teammates have been sending their messages of well wishes and prayers to Jackie at this difficult time.
Jackie’s daughter has tonight used her Dad’s social media account to give a short update and to thank everybody for their well wishes.
Jackie is only 46 and is still very much part of the Celtic family. Taking part in many different Celtic nights with his former teammates and entertaining fans at the bar he owns with Simon Donnelly in Spain. He is also Greg Taylor’s agent and helped with the move from Killie to Celtic in the summer.
Our prayers are with Jackie and his family and we hope he can pull through this.
