James Forrest has made history by becoming Celtic’s most decorated player, surpassing the legendary Lisbon Lion Bobby Lennox. After Celtic’s dominant 5-0 win over Dundee United this afternoon, Forrest reached an impressive milestone, winning his 26th major trophy with the Hoops.
With the win securing Celtic’s 13th Scottish Premiership title in 14 years and brought their total league titles to 55.

Forrest’s time at Celtic has been nothing short of impressive. Since making his debut in 2010, he has helped the team win 12 Scottish Premiership titles, 8 Scottish Cups, and 8 Scottish League Cups.
His long-lasting presence and commitment to the Hoops have made him an essential part of Celtic’s long-term success.
He said: (Sky Sports), “It’s hard to put into words. It’s obviously winning another trophy for Celtic, it’s unbelievable to be a part of it and it’s such a special occasion.
“I think that’s always been the case when you’re here. Obviously, when you’re getting older, you appreciate it even more. You don’t take anything for granted, and it’s just great to be a part of such a great team with the players, staff, and the fans.”
Forrest also spoke about the quality of the current team, saying that even when Brendan Rodgers changes the starting XI, the standards remain high.
He said: “I think I’ve had loads of good teams over the years, and it’s good to be a part of so many different players and characters. I think this team’s right up there. The full squad works so hard every day, and even when the manager changes the team, the standards are still so high.”

Forrest’s achievement is a reflection of his hard work and dedication to Celtic. With more trophies likely to come, it’s clear that the 32-year-old still has a lot to offer.
His place in Celtic’s history is now firmly secured, and he continues to inspire fans everywhere, with the chance to win a 27th title against Aberdeen at Hampden next month.
