John Kennedy has confirmed to James Forrest is back in full training and is making good progress.

The midfielder has been out since September when he was stretchered off during a European qualifier.

Celtic have really missed the natural width James gives us and we’ve not had a natural number two which has seen formation changes and players being played out of position.

It looks like we’ll have James back in time for the teams tilt at the Scottish Cup. The Hoops first game in the cup competition will be at the start of April, which gives the winger plenty of time to get back up to speed.

John Kennedy also let us know Vasilis Barkas has been out with an ankle injury, explaining why the player has been out of the squad altogether.

There had been mystery surrounding the goalkeeper’s absence from even the bench over the past couple of game.

Celtic invited fan media into an official Celtic press conference on Friday afternoon to speak to both David Turnbull and John Kennedy. We will be getting the best audio sound bites up on our social media feeds throughout today.
