Former Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong has provided a brilliant assist to get Bayer Leverkusen back on track in their Europa League tie against Young Boys.

Currently, Leverkusen has given themselves a fighting chance of actually getting more than just a loss in this first-leg. After being 3-0 down at half-time they have fought back to make it 3-2 with over 30 minutes to play.

What frustrated Celtic fans at times about Frimpong was his ability to deliver a cross but his brilliantly delivered cross from the right found the head of striker Patrik Schick.

The Dutch youngster moved on in the January window to the surprise of a majority of the support who didn’t expect him to leave the club so soon after just 18 months that saw his rise from Manchester City youngster to the clubs starting right-back.

For a player his age, it is clear to see the potential he has and could go on to big things if he worked on certain parts of his game. He seems to already be doing that over in Germany improving one of his flaws, so who knows where he could go from here if he continues to develop in that upwards trajectory.
