NEIL LENNON spoke to CelticTV ahead of the Hearts game on Wednesday and is happy with his squad and the players returning from injury.

One player who isn’t back on the field yet is Jeremie Frimpong. The Celtic manager thought the right-back would return to training on Monday but Jeremie hasn’t made it onto the Lennoxtown training field as of yet.

However, not to fear because the Celtic manager has good news on that front.

Asked about Jeremie’s status the Celtic manager said:

“He’s just about finished his rehab, hopefully he’ll train Thursday with the rest of the squad.”

That’s great news on a week where Hatem a Elhamed has already found himself back training with the first team alongside Nir Bitton.

Celtic are fighting on three fronts and with the manager changing formations having versatile players like Nir, Hatem and Jeremie back will prove invaluable.

It’s up to the three of them to get back to full fitness and challenge for a place. It won’t be easy with Celtic unbeaten in 2020. Nobody is going to give up their place in the squad easily.
