NEIL LENNON has delivered a quick update on Jeremie Frimpong which surely rules him out of the St Johnstone game on Wednesday evening. The young defender was stretchered off against Kilmarnock after Alan Power smashed into him at pace.

Jeremie missed the game against Ross County at home as a result but looks set to miss more game time as Celtic try to find out what’s going on.

Speaking ahead of the St Johnstone game, Neil Lennon revealed they had now sent Frimpong to a specialist to discover the extent of the injury.

“He’s seeing a specialist today, we’ll know the extent of the injury after that. He’s had a scan on it so hopefully, it won’t be too bad.” Neil Lennon told CelticTV.

Moritz Bauer stood in for Jeremie against Ross County but we certainly felt the loss of the right-back’s creativity not being in the side. Moritz hasn’t done enough to this point to warrant a permanent deal this summer.
