Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong seems to have become a wanted man now with clubs such as Southampton and Roma supposedly being interested in the full-back. However, it has now been reported that the Serie A giants have ‘no wish to sign’ the Dutch youngster.

As reported by Glasgow Live, it had been reported suggested that the Italian side were interested in making a move for Frimpong but at this time it appears they have no plans to sign him in the up and coming window.

The 20-year first arrived on the scene, making his debut against Partick Thistle in the League Cup last year after signing from Manchester City in the summer.

Ever since he hasn’t looked back becoming a first-team regular for Neil Lennon’s side.

So far this season he has failed to make the same impact in the team that he did last year in what has been a disappointing start for the Hoops.

It is clear that Frimpong has the talent to go on and make it at the top level but he still has a lot of work to do if he wants to make it there and that time is best spent in Scotland.
