More than a few Celtic players have been attracting attention from elsewhere over the past 12 months. The January window presents another opportunity for clubs to test Celtic’s resolve as they look to keep this side together until at least the summer.

Jeremie Frimpong has been linked with a move away in recent times; reports in Italy have claimed Roma are keen on the defender.

However, when asked about the rumours today, Jeremie was quick to shoot them down.

“I am just focussed on Celtic right now. I am at Celtic so I am focussed on that.” Frimpong told CelticTV.

Jeremie burst onto the scene at Celtic after a deadline day transfer move to Glasgow over 18 months ago. His pace and willingness to take players on made him a fan-favourite among the support.

He is a great talent but still has a long way to go before he can reach his full potential. There’s no doubt, down the line, Jeremie could go for a large transfer fee. January seems like an unlikely jumping-off point.
