JEREMIE FRIMPONG took his place back in the starting XI having sat out Celtic’s famous win at Lazio because he wasn’t eligible to play in the game.

It was back to SPFL action for the bhoys today and a good performance against a decent Motherwell side saw the team run out 2-0 winners.

Jeremie played the entire game and was again a live wire and creative spark down the right hand side. We saw some of the rough edges from the player today but we also seen vision and maturity. You’re always going to have ups and downs with an 18-year-old in the first team but he again showed why Neil Lennon was right to bring him in so early in Jeremie’s development.

The defender is very infectious and has energy to burn on the field. Off the field he seems like a top character and enjoys interacting with the Celtic support. After the game, the player posted his delight at another win and credited Fraser Forster for another clean sheet – however, the goalkeeper will be thanking his defenders.
