The English shot-stopper is in the final 8 months of his contract at Celtic, after signing for Celtic nearly three years ago, with Ange Postecoglou looking to add some experience between the sticks.
The 36-year-old has come under a lot of criticism this season, with it clear age is catching up to him.
Celtic had been looking at goalkeepers throughout the summer, with a few linked to the Parkhead club. The murmurings haven’t settled, with Real Madrid ‘keeper Lunin linked to Celtic over the past week or so.
He too is out of contract in the summer, but Real Madrid isn’t willing to let him go on the cheap in January.
It’s interesting that Celtic have opened talks with Joe Hart, but his experience could be crucial if Celtic do look to bring in a younger goalkeeper.
We’ve already seen photos of Joe Hart working closely with young ‘keepers at Lennoxtown, with Tobi Oluwayemi the obvious example.
