JOE HART has been a phenomenal signing for Celtic; fans have certainly changed their tune from when the Englishman signed last summer.

He’s a leader, both on and off the park. He’s shown that he can lead the team, taking the captain’s armband and giving a prematch speech ahead of some games.

He also knows what it means to pull on that Celtic jersey every week, and he can fairly sing that Callum McGregor song!

He’s had many classy moments, from engaging with fans to consoling opposition goalkeepers after a match, typically having a lengthy chat.

The latest class act went beyond the Celtic supporters. This time, he has given some advice to a young goalkeeper at Shrewsbury, the club where the Celtic goalie’s career started. [Shropshire Star]

“My mum texted Joe Hart, and he replied to her because they know each other.

“He messaged me, and we just talked about it all; he gave me some advice and sent me videos of him talking.

“He was really helpful. He gave me advice on what to do and how to handle stuff, and it was just weird talking to someone of that level as if you’re mates; he was talking to me as if he actually cared when he didn’t have to talk to me at all, but he did.

“He’s where I want to be and doing what I want to be doing in life, so having a chat with him made that seem more reachable, and it made him seem more human.”

It’s very humble of Joe Hart, and I suppose you could say it’s very decent on the former England number 1. He hasn’t forgotten his roots.
