There may have been some doubters when goalkeeper Joe Hart signed for the club in the summer. However, it is fair to say that the entire Celtic support is now well and truly behind the former Manchester City and West Ham stopper after his performances between the sticks this season.

Not only has the 34-year old been brilliant for Ange Postecoglou’s side at keeping shots out of the back of the net, but he has also shown his class on many occasions with the Celtic support.

Last night was no different when Hart showed another touch of class in his gesture towards a young fan in the crowd, calling on his teammate Jota and taking a picture for the supporter who would have been left delighted at the brilliant gesture.

We have seen with many modern footballers, particularly south of the border, how the connection between players and fans has become so disconnected over the years.

But it is brilliant to see such a huge figure within football like Hart take just a few seconds to make a young supporters day.

Some will consider Hart as one of Postecoglou’s best signings in the summer, not only for his performances on the pitch but also the impact he has off it on his teammates and the fan base.

Hopefully, this is something we can continue to see from the shot-stopper for the next few years to come.
