Celtic are in need of a goalkeeper before the window closes after Craig Gordon was ruled out for three months.

Since the injury occurred Celtic have been linked with a plethora of goalkeepers who are either low budget or out of favour at their clubs.

One player whose name has come up is Man City’s Joe Hart who is currently on-loan to West Ham but only making the bench for the Hammers.

The thought was that if Joe is not being used by West Ham they may use the opportunity to cut the loan deal short paving the way for Celtic to make contact.

This has been inadvertently quashed by David Moyes who was asked by an English journalist if Joe would be heading back to Manchester early.

“No, we’ve got no intentions (of letting Joe go)

“Adrian has got to be at his best in all the games. I’ve got tight competition. I’ve got England’s goalkeeper which will keep Adrian on his toes. That’s obvious.

“In a way I’m quite happy with that because I need the goalkeepers to play really well for us to win the games and stay away from the bottom end of the league. At every opportunity, when I think it is right, I will play Joe Hart.”

So it looks like Joe Hart to Celtic is as real as the whole of China chipping in to buy an Ibrox striker.
