Ex-Celtic star John Hartson has given a very heartfelt and touching messaging to Leigh Griffiths as the player gets set to take a step back from football to deal with ongoing issues in his personal life.
Brendan Rodgers made the announcement yesterday and since then the positivity and outpouring of emotion for the Celtic man’s plight has been heart warming, to say the least.
John Hartson used his platform on BT Sports going out to a nationwide audience this evening to show support, not for Leigh the footballer but Leigh Griffiths the man.
This is all about his personal struggles and what he needs to do in order to be the best he can be for his family.
John has been through addiction in his life and knows what it takes to admit there’s a problem and the road to recovery starts now for Leigh.
