JOHN HARTSON believes it will be up to The Rangers to find a way past Celtic in next month’s League Cup final at Hampden and took his opportunity to stick the boot into the Ibrox club.

The Welshman has been part of some memorable Celtic moments at Hampden and knows his old side are still the team to beat.

John described Celtic’s ruthless dominance of the Scottish game is almost embarrassing for the Ibrox club and questions whether the will be strong enough on the day.

“You can get some momentum from finals and it would be a major coup for Rangers to win. They’ve got to find a way to stop Celtic.” Hartson told Sunsport.

“Celtic have been ridiculous with their domination. Nine trophies out of nine is almost EMBARRASSING, isn’t it?

“Whether or not they will be strong enough on the day, time will tell.”

Celtic are going for their tenth domestic title in a row when they take to the Hampden pitch in December. The semi-final showed there’s no apathy or complacency creeping into the Celtic players who have been there from the beginning of this domination. The new bhoys desperate to get silverware under their belt and Neil Lennon looking to land his first League Cup as a manager are all incentives to get the job done.
