JOHN HARTSON has taken a cheeky dig at Kris Boyd after his article contained some strange words implying that he was disappointed that the Rangers’ players did not cause further damage to Callum McGregor during the derby match.

Appearing on the Go Radio Football Show, Hartson struck Boyd down. Condemning his comment, the Welshman went on to have a cheeky dig at Boyd.

“I don’t know why Kris Boyd is doing that, he never put a glove on anybody during his career. I don’t think he could get close to anybody.”

We see what you did there, John!

Interestingly, McGregor failed to say whether or not Boyd apologised when directly asked about this today.

Still, the captain has put the immature comments made by the ‘pundit’ behind him and focuses on Celtic’s next game against Aberdeen, where he will go face to face with Scott Brown.

Celtic had provided no further update to their original statement when they said they were aware of the comments and were ‘addressing’ them.

The unapologetic Boyd still appeared on Sky Sports to offer his ‘analysis’ to Celtic and his former club’s matches.
