JOHN KENNEDY has made his first appointment as interim Celtic manager by promoting Stephen McManus to his coaching staff, Celtsarehere.com has been told.

McManus has been working in the academy but will now help take the first team for the rest of this season.

Stephen is a guy who came through the Celtic academy and captained the team to titles and the last 16 of the Champions league.

His experience will come in handy and it will give John Kennedy another person to bounce ideas off of.

Celtic take on Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon. The Hoops fans are intrigued to see John’s starting XI and how it differs from Neil Lennon’s team selections.

The league is gone but for the players who will be here next year, it’s all about building confidence and momentum.

Celtic could pile misery on Aberdeen and Derek McInnes by condemning them to another defeat at Celtic Park.

McInness is a manager under pressure at the moment.

  1. Can big plastic dick and John Kennedy both teach all the Hoops squad how to both defend and attack. Being both defenders (and frequent goal scorers) get that through to the defencive minded midfield and the defence. As that’s were they are lacking. Getting sore lower limbs and eye and head injuries is part of defending. So don’t be shy, be first in there. As there’s no such thing as a 50-50 tackle.

  2. McManus may be someone who can coach defenders how to defend.

Because as we have all seen since Kennedy has been here the defence has been like a sieve.

The only time Celtic were not conceding goals at corners and set pieces was when Rodgers was in charge, the reason for this is because Kennedy was on bibs and cones duty and had nothing to do with coaching.

Guy is a fraud and needs punted out the door come May,
