CELTIC don’t have their troubles to seek this season and the coaching staff are feeling the heat. John Kennedy was put up for media duties instead of Neil Lennon over the weekend to discuss things before the Hibernian game on Monday.

RecordSport report Kennedy’s response to Pat Bonner’s comments earlier this week which claimed Celtic are clearly not doing enough in training.

Bonner said: “Most of the goals they lose tend to come from counter-attacks or set pieces and conceding goals as preventable as that would suggest they need to work harder on the training ground.”

Kennedy didn’t take kindly to the words from the Celtic legend and believes it’s throw away comments pundits make when things aren’t going well.

“This is someone who is not in the know in terms of how we work on a daily basis.

“It’s a throwaway comment we’ve heard a number of times this season from people who don’t understand the process of our training or the way we work.

“It’s might be a throwaway comment but it can be dangerous as then it becomes public opinion

“But I can assure it’s not the truth.”

Celtic are 22 points behind in the title race and haven’t showed enough at this point to show they can even be worthy title contenders.

This season has been a debacle so far, stumbling from one incident to the next. The run of 2 wins out of 12 games really killed our season dead. We’re trying to revive it but it’s becoming increasingly difficult as the club and manager continue to make things hard for themselves.

If it’s not the effort in training, what’s gone so wrong this term?
