Johnny Kenny is closing in on his £3million move from Celtic to Preston North End, with the striker at Deepdale tonight.
The Republic of Ireland international is completing the final details on a four-year contract after Preston agreed a deal with the Hoops.
Kenny is at Deepdale – PNE’s stadium – this evening as Preston hosted Bristol City in the Championship, with the Celtic striker watching the action from the stands.
The match kicked off at 7.45pm and was shown live on Sky Sports Main Event.
The 23-year-old’s move to Preston brings an end to his Celtic career and will see him take up a new challenge in the English second tier.

Kenny’s impressive loan spell with Bolton Wanderers in the last half of last season attracted significant interest from the Championship, with Bolton keen to bring him back permanently.
West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers had also registered an interest, but Preston have now won the race for his signature.
The £3million fee represents a significant return for Celtic and allows Kenny to move on and pursue regular first-team football in England.
His departure comes after Celtic completed a deal to bring Chelsea striker Shim Mheuka to Glasgow on loan.
With the Chelsea striker now arriving, Celtic have been able to sanction Kenny’s departure.
Assuming the final paperwork is completed without issue, Kenny will officially become a Preston player on a four-year deal. Best of luck to him.
